*국내 대학교(원)에 재학 중인 외국인 학생 참가자는 자국 대표로 선발될 수 있는 우선권 부여

[청년 itu전권회의 참가자 모집공고]
- 내년 10월 20일부터 11월 7일까지 부산에서 개최되는 국제전기통신연합(itu) 전권회의 d-365를 기념하여 모의 전권회의인 「청년 itu 전권회의」가 오는 2013년 10월 18일(금) 개최됩니다.

- ‘전권회의’는 4년마다 한 번씩 전세계 193개 회원국의 대표단이 모여 ict 관련 정책들을 논의하는 국제회의로, 영어로 진행되는 본 「청년 itu 전권회의」는 국제기구에 관심이 많은 대학(원)생들이 국제 외교 및 국제 관계를 생생하게 경험해 볼 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것입니다.

- 대회 결과 우수자에게는 미래창조과학부 장관상 및 kaist 총장상 등을 수여하오니, 학생들의 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.

- celebrating the 2014 itu plenipotentiary conference (pp-14 or pp-14 busan) d-365, 「2013 model-itu pp」 will be held in choi jong-hyun hall, kaist management dept on 18 october 2013.

▶ qualification
- undergraduates and graduates of any institutions in korea
- enable to speak in english and to attend conference and pre-meeting
* official language is english.

-「model itu pp(model itu plenipotentiary conference)」 will be held on october 18th 2013 to celebrate the 2014 itu plenipotentiary conference (pp-14 or pp-14 busan) in busan) d-365.
‘the 2014 itu plenipotentiary conference’, a global ict conference, is held every 4 years, and leads the development and global diffusion of ict and networks by allocating international radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits and by developing technological standards in telecommunications.

- the 「model itu pp」, which will proceed entirely in english, will provide students interested in international organizations with the opportunity to experience the workings of international meetings and diplomatic relations. participants displaying exceptional skills will receive a prize from the minister of science, ict and future planning and a prize from the president of kaist. if interested, download the application form and send it to mitupp13@kait.or.kr until august 16th (fri).

▶ about the itu plenipotentiary conference
- as a un specialized agency on ict(information and communications technologies), the international telecommunication (itu) leads the development and global diffusion of ict and networks by allocating international radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits and by developing technological standards in telecommunications. the plenipotentiary conference is the top-level decision-making body of the itu, and elects the secretary-general, deputy secretary-general and directors of each sector, while also amending the constitution and convention.
the 2014 itu plenipotentiary conference (pp-14 or pp-14 busan) will be held in busan, oct 20 - nov 7, 2014(3 weeks), as the world’s 19th and asia’s 2nd plenipotentiary conference. in addition, there will be large-scale special events such as the ict industrial exhibition, global ict conference, and korean cultural festival.
