aniboom awards 4 sesame street

the 4th aniboom awards sponsored by sesame street gives animators from around the world the opportunity to work with one of television' s most iconic shows, and the chance to win cash prizes and development deals valued at $50,000. sesame street is looking for original characters and content, show us your unique vision!

animators will be disqualified if they animate a piece with the sesame street characters.

the competition

the competition will run from march 1st until may 17th when the grand winner will be announced.
the submission period is from march 1st - april 26th.
5 finalists will be chosen from the pool of submissions and awarded category prizes.
the grand winner will be ed by a panel of judges from amongst the 5 category finalists.

a few official rules

animators should not specify which category they intend to compete in, the submissions will be pooled in one group and the panel of judges will the category winners
1.school readiness skills: numbers, letters and shapes
sample videos: numbers - ten tiny turtles
                                            letters - plain white t' s song
                                            shape - the bridgekeeper triangle
2.pro-social (emphasizing socialization aspects for children)
sample video: tj meets margarita
3.pinball (new animation set to at least 30 seconds of a music soundtrack, you can use the original track or mix it to create a new version)

4."sky' s the limit" (open category that is up to the animator' s imagination)
5.community favorite (chosen using aniboom' s unique ranking system)

movies appear as private

for the duration of stage-1, your submission will appear as private within your account. this means it will not be available for public viewing until stage- 2 (march 15th).

prizes

each of the 5 category finalists will be awarded a prize of five thousand dollars (us$5,000).
the grand prize winner(s) will be awarded an additional prize of five thousand dollars (us$5,000).
the winning animators will then be eligible for development deals valued at $20,000.
